1. Attach back brace by depressing brass push pins and sliding back brace into receptacle located on back of the commode. Be sure brass push pins “snap” through holes. 2. Slide pail in from front of commode.

One of the few with elongated seat
I bought this for my mom who's in an adult care home. I chose it mainly because of the elongated seat feature. Also because of the good reviews given by others, the no frills design, and the mid-range price. It gives us more peace of mind for Mom to use the commode positioned near her bed rather than make her way to the bathroom at night. It's taking some getting used to on her part, and she doesn't like the whole idea, but she's trying. She has very little upper or lower body strength and finds it difficult to lower herself onto the seat then hoist herself back up. Luckily, she is quite petite so the commode stays fairly stable when she sits down on it hard. It's the pits that it's come to this, but this was the best way to deal with the situation.
