Whirlpool 10,000 BTU 230V Through the Wall Air Conditioner with Supplemental Heat, WHAT102-HAW

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m been really happy with this Wirlpool AC Unit. It is a 12,000 BTU through the wall unit, not a window unit. It does a great job cooling a medium sized room pretty quickly, and the airflow feels strong and consistent. It also has heat controls for cooler days, so it’s useful year-round. Needs to be installed with a wall sleeve through the wall. It also comes with a remote that makes it easy to adjust settings without getting up. It does create some noise, but the noise level is what you’d expect for this type of unit. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable option if you’re looking for a permanent AC solution.

We have converted our garage into a “hang out” spot with a pool table and karaoke machine etc. We love hanging out in there. Unfortunately, it is not connected with our central heat/air system. We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. We love it! The remote is handy and the timer feature is awesome. It is well-made and the as easy to install. We had to order a sleeve to slide it into, but it was very simple. It is a solid unit that should last for years!
