Not only to protect my mattresses against bed bugs but water and others as well since I have kids over most the time. Beware if you have sleep overs. You never know if their houses are infested with bed bugs or not. This was my case. After months I still look for sign of bed bugs.

The protector has a zipper to cover all of the mattress. the surface outside is like towel . And I put another fitted bed sheet outside of the it cause The protector is kind of big for my 8 inch mattress . every good quality .I bought 2 of them. Highly recommend. Reasonable price.

Awesome. Even one person can get this on a thick matress by their self. No ripping! No odd smell. No wrinkling. Zipper works perfectly and is secure. If you have to wash it, it does so nicely, just be sure to not over heat in the dryer. Mine had a few stuck together spots, but they did release without damage.
