I really wanted to like this solid wood bed frame. it was a nice station color and didn't seem to have any chemical scent to it. It may have had a matte lacquer or polyurethane finish but I couldn't really tell. The problem was that some of the stained wood pieces were covered in a smelly green powdery mold. I know you have to sand wood and restain it to fully remove mold so I didn't bother trying to remediate. There was also a puncture in one of the stained wood pieces so I question overall quality control. I didn't bother assembling and sent both bed frames I ordered back to seller.
