My goal is to keep squirrels out of my garden beds . After sighting in the basic scope with aid of small game image paper targets I was somewhat surprised how successful I have been in eliminating the destructive tree rats. At approximately 26 yards , a small critter was not too challenging of a target with this basic scope . Also the distance may have been further . The shot was taken while rifle was steadied by handheld against the side of a post . .22 heavy blunt nose pellets keep the noise at its lowest in a thickly settled suburb neighborhood with this affordable rifle .

Excellent rifle with good scope and will be the perfect rifle for my nephew to go small game hunting before he's old enough to get my .22 and came with complete scope mounts which if you have to buy separate can be expensive and tricky…my background is Spec Ops junior officer in the U.S. army and the target practice and reps done with pellet rifles is cheap fun and builds your accuracy and precision…thanks for bringing a little joy to my life…I HIGHLY Recommend this pellet rifle. The scope that comes with it will work but I swapped it out. Shooting at 40 yards with cross man premier hollow points and getting a 3/4 inch grouping, shot at a 12”x12” metal plate at 100 yards and hit with all 5 shots. For rabbit or squirrel 50 yards and under this rifle is prefect, no complaints at all.
