After 1920, he exhibited there every year and received the gold medal of the Salon in 1935. Peri painted the most famous places and the most isolated places of Corsica's natural environment. Peri also illustrated a variety of books and published illustrations in magazines. Foremost a landscape painter Lucien Peri created drawings in pencil and crayon, sometimes charcoal or watercolor. He would then take his work into his studio and developed them further to the desired format. Lucien Peri is distinguisheable by his technique, all his works are characterized by an unfinished appearance and rapid execution. Journalist Martin Baretti wrote that Peri was 'an incomparable landscape whose art is under the reign of speed.'
