I would give these a higher star rating if their description wasn't so misleading. To say that these have "thick padding on the sole" is ridiculous; as for the "reinforced toes," I can't see any evidence of that. These are thin, more like your usual dress sock. There is a band of somewhat elasticized ribbing around the arch, so that might provide a little of the arch support they claim. I decided to keep these and give them a try, even though I prefer a thicker sock; we'll see how they hold up to daily wear in athletic shoes. I love bamboo rayon for keeping my feet dry and non-stinky, and I like the blue color (although I certainly wouldn't call it navy); I really do hope these work out. The price isn't too bad for 6 pairs, but they had better hold up.
