Fun little experiments for Family play
I'm pretty impressed with this 4M Anti-Gravity Magnetic Levitation Science Kit. I thought it would be fun to get for my daughter to keep her engaged and not bored through the long Winter break from school, and it did just that. She would do one experiment per day and I let her do all the set up and then demo the experiment for me and even at my age I learned some science facts that I never knew before. I also learned that my child already is quite knowledgeable about science. Sometimes she was successful with an experiment without assistance, and other times we would have to troubleshoot when things didn't perform as promised. We were successful with each experiment with the exception of the one where a pencil should float mid-air. I'm not sure what we are doing wrong on that one and will ask a friend for help the next time he comes over. I like that you can do these more than once and the skills it develops in the instruction based building process for my child, as it requires attention to detail. Over all this was a great purchase and entertaining.
This was fun!!
My granddaughter has ALWAYS been fascinated with magnets, so I knew she would love this set.. she did!! In fact, we 3 sat around while she went from one experiment to another! Now this is a fun set for a kid of many ages. Us adults were doing the "wow" thing while Abs was explaining why things worked the way they did! Paying attention in 8th grade science class must have paid off! Not just a toy, but educational as well!
Better than a video game
This KidzLabs Anti-Gravity Maglev is a really neat little project for children over the age of eight. As a warning this kit does contain very small parts, so becareful with its use around small children. There are seven projects included that will expand you and your child's mind. I think the little experiments are a great way to spend quality time together. Let's face it, everything is a computer of some type, this gives a hands on experience for all involved. The setup and cleanup are very simple, another way to teach something, manners and responsibility. Oh, did I mention it is a lot cheaper than a video game or a new phone. So if you want to be budget minded, spend quality time together and have fun, this just might be for you.
Great For Kids That Love to Solve Experiments!
My daughter is in the gifted program in her school. She is always working on some type of creation or project. When I saw this KidzLabs Anti-Gravity Maglev I thought she might enjoy this. When I handed it to her, she was very excited to dive right in. She sat next to me and started reading the instructions then begin working on it. She had to get a ruler to measure the length needed for the string that came with the KidzLab Anti-Gravity Maglev. Once she cut the string, she had to attach it to one end of the experiment. The KidzLabs comes with several different magnet experiments to try. My daughter worked or shall I say “played” with this for a couple of hours. Even after playing with it for a couple of hours she did not get through all of the experiments that came in the box. Some of the experiments take several attempts to get right. When she accomplished the goal(s) of the experiment she was cheering herself on and very proud of her accomplishment. I know she will be getting back to this KidzLabs box for the remainder of the weekend. I can easily see this KidzLab Anti-Gravity Maglev being a part of any science classroom.
If you want to keep your children entertained while at the same time teaching them science skill and knowledge, the 4M Anti-Gravity Magnetic Levitation Science Kit is a way to go!
Even though it is recommended for children 8 and over, with the assistance of an adult, it can be used to teach younger children
It is an engaging kit that not only is fun, but teaches magnet-based scientific fundamentals. Will keep your children captivated from making a pencil float, to building a robot.
The Kit includes all materials, bringing an instruction guide that takes you through each experiment, step-by-step. It even explains the science of how each experiment works. It is education as well as fun at the same time for hours.
The way I have used this kit is with my grandson and his friends. I gather them in the patio and supervise the use of the kit. If they get stuck in a step, I help them.
This kit is a way to introduce the love of science to your children. It helps parents teach children the use of magnetic forces to build several items and how they work. This kit assist parents to keep away their children from watching too much TV.
The box has the contents and some instruction in several languages including French and Spanish.
Fun for one child or several.
4M Anti-Gravity Magnetic Levitation Science Kit is a really fun interactive kit. It contained everything my son needed to conduct several experiments with magnetism. All the pieces are colorful and good sized for handling. It came with an easy to follow instruction printout to help him perform each activity. I found the kit to be creative an very interesting, my son found it to be a fun learning experience. His friends took turns also and they each said it would a kit they would like to have for themselves to use over and over again.
They learned a lot and are still using it
The children had a great time leaning the power of a magnet. They figured out that they can send another magnet scooting across the table just by holding the other magnet just over the other one causing the first magnet to skate across the table. They loved learning that a magnet has a strong enough pull that it can suspend a pencil in mid air, And learning how to create a working compress and a personal transport of a paper person. This set will be used when one of them needs a science fair Idea. They should ace the fair.
Anti-Gravity Magnetic Levitation Science Kit
It takes some practice but your kid will like it.
It's reasonably durable with care (I think is not durable enough for young children). Parts are hard plastic and parts are thin cardboard but those parts are more for making the projects work better and the hard plastic parts will hold up for many more uses so I was satisfied.
The magnets are large and of good quality and the way the experiments are set up leaves room for a child's imagination to think of other ways to make magnets work for us.
The experiments can be done over and over again so it's not just a one shot deal for each experiment which is good for those kids that like science.
Nice idea but a bit hard to make it work
I received the 4M Anti-Gravity Magnetic
Levitation Science Kit from the Spark Reviewer
Program. The product summary states the
following. “Teach your children about the
invisible power of magnetism with this 4M
Anti-Gravity Magnetic Levitation Science Kit.
Your kids will learn through several fun,
hands-on experiments. These include how to
float a pencil in mid-air, engineer a personal
transporter, construct a metal sculpture that
defies gravity and more. The 4M science kit
contains the materials necessary to perform
the seven experiments found in this kit. This is
a nice way to introduce your children to the
world of science. It is a safe and controlled way
to let them have fun while they learn. This
kids' science kit comes with detailed
instructions for use and care. You will be able
to correctly complete each project with these
directions. Getting your kids started with safe,
simple experiments will get them ready for
more complicated ones as they get older. If
your child has shown an interest in this
discipline, then the 4M Anti-Gravity Magnetic
Levitation Science Kit is an ideal gift.”. Well, my
Opinion of this is that yes, it creates interest,
the magnets are great. But the experiments are
difficult To complete properly. It was frustrating
for my child. It was frustrating for her dad. We
did actually get Each to work after many failed
attempts. Unless you Have a child that is
determined to get it right, this would not be the
Product for you.
