Item fine, shipping lacking

The shipping left much to be desired. It came in a bag with no padding or protection of any kind. The actual product packaging (the cardboard and plastic around the pacifier) was severely damaged. It was bent and crumpled. This is supposed to be a gift at a baby shower. I am embarrassed to give a beaten up gift. Fortunately the pacifier still turns on, off and reads temperatures, though I don't k ow if it's an accurate reading. I would expect a delivery to be protected better during the shipping process, especially an electronic item. At least some kind of padding or bubble wrap to protect the product.
