Armeria Maritima Splendens (Thrift/Sea Pink) - Perennial Armeria has charming bright pink flowers clustered in tight pom-pom flowers bloom cheerfully on slender stems above tufts of narrow leaves. Grasslike foliage forms low clumps; ideal as a small-scale ground cover or as edging in the garden. Tolerant of dry, poor and even salty soils. Plant Armeria Sea Pink in full sun in well drained soil. Armeria maritima is very drought tolerant. An excellent choice for rock gardens. A very durable plant which is a great addition to any flower garden.

Don’t waste money on these seeds
So these seeds germinated after I planted them in August 2025 and I was so excited. I have never had Sea Thrift and have only seen them in pictures, so I couldn’t tell anything was wrong until now-Spring 2026-when I was transplanting. Imagine my unpleasant surprise when I dug up a bunch with a trowel only to find that they were CHIVES! I had such high hopes for my Sea Thrift! Now I have a whole bunch of digging to do… getting rid of all these chives is going to be time consuming. And lastly, the chives weren’t the only bundle of joy (sarcasm): there were also a bunch of glorious weeds to complete the package 😣
