Wax Resist is a ceramic and pottery decorating medium that can be applied over and under glazes or slip on greenware and bisque. Wherever it is applied, it "resists" the applications of glazes, slips and underglazes to assist in decorating designs. It is blue-green in color which makes it easy to see where it has been applied. The color will burn off in the kiln firing. To use, pour a small amount in a separate container, then apply with a brush. Wait at least two hours before glazing. Best results are obtained after eight hours. It can be thinned with water if required. Works best when kept at room temperature and away from cold air.
