    • A. Yes, Lisa, someone 5'2" can shorten the base (which makes it take up even less room) and use it comfortably. My mother uses it comfortably and she's 5'3".

    • A. Yes, a 5'2 person can adjust the distance from the seat to the pedals. There is a knob on the floor rail. Just losen it and push the seat as close as you need it to accomodate the length of your legs. The seat should slide forward easily, but sometimes it will bind-up, and you need to shake it a little to get it to slide forward.

    • A. The seat adjusts pretty close in so I would think you would be able to workout comfortably.

    • A. Yes! I believe you can, I'm 5'6", and adjusted this to my height.(which isn't quite the shortest distance).. the weight limitation is 275 pounds( told husband he needs to lose weight before using, so I was reading the specs)

I opted to purchase this bike because the # of positive reviews greatly outnumbered the # of negative ones, it was iFit compatible, and was very reasonably priced. We brought it home, got it put together within an hour or two, and gave it a quick trial run; it pedaled smoothly and quietly. We weren't able to get it to connect to iFit, though, regardless of which operating system or device we tried (and truthfully, as I've previously experienced, the iFit customer service was less than helpful in troubleshooting the problem). Looking more closely at the box, it recommended use with the iPhone 4S (?!?) - a bit out of date! We then moved it approximately 5' to where I would be primarily using it; it immediately started making a clicking noise. The only way to get the clicking to stop was to increase the resistance level to 6 or higher. All told, it ran well for about 5 minutes. The bike was returned without difficulty the next day - kudos to WalMart for the simplicity of the return!

Purchased this because of the generally OK reviews on Walmart.com (although it would have been nice to see reviews on an Objective 3rd Party Site) and because of the price. Assembly took a long time and was generally difficult for a recumbent bike (I have built several Schwinns and they are much easier to assemble, although more expensive.) Assembly also ideally requires 2 people. Item #1 to consider is that the iPad Holder is too high to be practical for viewing (unless you are 6-feet tall like the model in the display). The iPad holder is also thin and won't accommodate an iPad that with a case. Item #2 was that the Console was apparently defective and kept making a static noise, even with the Volume turned off. It also kept increasing the Resistance without my direction in "manual mode". The Console was also missing display pixels. Item #3 is that while the overall build quality seemed solid, the comfort level was mediocre and not suitable for hours of use. Thumbs down. Going with another Schwinn.

Received September 2015. Opened and assembled May 5, 2016 and used the weight-loss program. Had an excellent 30 minute ride enjoying the automatic tension changes each minute. Was very exhilarating and rode up to 15.9 MPH, burned 200 calories, covering over 4 miles in distance. Had head injury August 2011 (2-4 years for total healing) that was healed August 2015, had back injury in Red Lobster September 2015 (stack of platters dropped on upper, mid, ad lower back)and refused to use the bike until now. I am very pleased with this whisper soft technology the bike offers and understand that this bike is the best I have ever had. Purchased both an outdoor bike in 2012 and this bike from walmart.com and prefer this Gold's Gym Cycle Trainer 400 RI. The smooth ride is exceptional, the ease of assembly, phenomenal, the sturdiness of the unit, superior, and the total body massage, perfect. I slept for several hours afterwards and awoke with a completely repaired body and exquisite feelings head to toe. A must have exercise weapon for every adult.

    DOES NOT CONNECT TO IFIT!!

I am giving this bike one star because it will not connect to Gold's Gym ifit app on my tablet. Reading the ifit reviews, I see that everyone is having this issue. Customer service urges you to go to www.support.ifit.com but there is no help online for connecting this machine via Bluetooth.Wait times on the phone are long and customer service turns you in circles. It appears there is an older version of ifit software on this machine (which has a very basic monochrome display), which does not connect with the new ifit app on android. I only bought this particular bike because of this feature. If I can't connect to ifit, it is useless to me. As far as being a solidly built bike that works when you turn the pedals and monitors your distance and calories...and has variable resistance that you can dial in.....it is fine. I hope to be able to return it. I believe Walmart is falsely advertising this bike as ifit compatible when it is not.

I believe that someone had this machine before we got it. It had one part that was already on before it was suppose to be, finally was able to get it off. The very first bolt we tried putting in my husband had to retap so that the bolt would go in and was still not able to get it in the whole way. This was on the front leg and actually the hole in the front leg was off, so my husband had to open the hole up some to get it to go as far as it did go. I feel this is bad quality workmanship. People don't take pride in their work anymore and the consumer is the one that has to pay. You pay a decent price and expect to get something that is decent. This took around 5 hours to assemble and that was because of everything my husband had to do before it was good enough to go. We are just hoping that the bolt is far enough in to not cause a problem. Would I recommend this to a friend, no I wouldn't because of the poor workmansip.
