Great Design

The design looks great but size wise, it is definitely a little bigger than I have expected. The dimensions are: 11.00"L x 11.00"W x 20.00”H and it is a little heavy when you fill up the 1.4 gallon tank, but it isn't that much of a problem because after you find a suitable place for it, you probably won't be moving it around. The whole system is already put together. You only have to add the demineralization cartridge into the appropriate area, add water, and the humidifier is ready to go. The demineralization cartridge comes with the humidifier. When turned on, you will see visible mist. The built in night light can be turned on or off. The system supposedly runs up to 60 hours per full tank, that might be correct if you have it on the lowest setting. How long 1 full tank lasts depends on which setting you have it on most. I really like the auto shut-off when the tank is empty. You won't have to worry about it burning out when all the water is gone. There is also a built-in timer which can be set for up to 8 hours. I like to set up this option before bedtime so you don't have to worry about turning it off when you wake up. There are many great things about this product. It has the clean mist anti-microbial technology to prevent growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the tank and it can detect and tell you the humidity level of the room. You can also adjust the mist intensity and mist temperature. Turning it from a cool mist humidifier to a warm mist humidifier. If using this product and you notice white dust forming around the humidifier or around the room, do not worry, it is not that the humidifier is defective. The white dust is mineral residue from the water you use in the humidifier. Therefore, the higher the mineral content in your water, the higher the chances of white dust forming. The demineralization cartridge is suppose to help with this issue and should be changed more often if you are using water with high mineral content, but another option to take is to use distilled water. So far the humidifier is working very well. The room doesn't feel dry and the humidifier is very quiet.

HoMedics Warm and Cool Mist Ultrasonic Huidifer

So I got this HoMedics Cool and Warm Mist Tower Ultrasonic Himidifer and to begin with it is a nice size. It holds 1.4 gallons of water and filling it up is quite easy. It has an easy lift carry handle so it makes it easy to carry after putting the water in. The instructions are easy to understand. It says it is for a large room size. For me I have it in my bedroom and I definately can see a difference in the air when you walk in the room. It is really neat that you can control weither you would like a cool mist or a warm mist. Also you get to customize the level of humidity so you can choose to have high humidity by percentage or low levels of humitity. I really like that you can control everything yourself. What a difference waking up in the morning and not having a stuffy nose. My husband was impressed as well, and thats a compliment! No more dryness!! Again another plus is that it is very quite! It has a night light as well. There is a clean tank technology which has anti microbial protection that prevents the growth of mold and/or mildew on the surface of the tank. You can program the humidistat with an 8 hour timer. I would definately recommend this humidifer. I think it is probably one of the best ones out there right now. Great Product!

Misty.....

Folks, Homedics, has come out with a warm and cool humidifier, that is great for rooms where conditions in your home is either dry, or low humidity,especially during the winter months where the air is so dry,this will keep your body/skin and home from drying out and my plants love the mist too...it uses ultrasonic high frequency technology that converts water into mist particles that disperse into the air evenly,it has a easy to read LED digital control panel with all the readouts for your desired settings, a power on/off button, night light button, timer set button, humidity increase/decrease button, mist temperature setting, and a built in timer for longer or shorter run times...and most important, it has an auto shut off protection when the tank goes empty, it holds 1.4 gallons with clean tank technology and no filters needed, but what is included is a demineralization cartridge for those who have hard water, like me , I use distilled water which is cleaner than tap water and cheap by the gallon, this will keep the "white dust" from settling on your furniture if you use regular tap water, easy to fill, easy to clean, (white vinegar) and a run time of 60 hours, uses only 90 watts of power (less than a light bulb), and best of all no noise coming from this Cool and Warm Mist Tower Ultrasonic Humidifier by Homedics....
