I'm happy with it. It will hold my plates, both large and small. The bottom and middle racks hold the larger plates just fine. It will hold 6 or more. My plates are just a little heavy. The bowls will only fit 2, but since I wanted it for the plates, it's perfect and the price was right! My shelf is 12/13" tall.

Corner rack
I had gotten 6 of these. I have 3 in the cabinets to separate different sizes of plates and bowls, and my husband's Japanese tea cup collection to prevent chipping. I found they work well in the fridge to house different small sized snack foods like yogurt and fruit cups as well as sour cream and cottage cheese and what not. I have two of them there. I am toying with the idea of putting one in the freezer to hold frozen juice concentrates and various prepped meals in freezer bags, and maybe ice cream or popsicles. They are very sturdy and really help to utilize vertical space. If I find more uses for them I will be purchasing more.

This rack is as advertised. I purchased two of them. Fits nicely in that dead space in the corner behind my kitchen sink. I would say that it is Medium duty. Very sturdy. Has pads on the legs so it does not scratch my counter top.
