Alcohol Burner

I bought 2 of the Esbit spirit cookers to work under the Canteen Shop canteen stoves. My fuel was Heet (yellow) and startup was easy with a ferro rod and blue flame was consistent. Simmer ring worked as well as quickly snuffed flame and pivoting handle was helpful. Roughly 35 minutes of cook time was allowed. I dropped the second cooker while opening package and a inch long dent occurred where the side rounds to the bottom. No malfunction was observed. There seems to be a temperature where the tightened lid will leak and a point where it does not. This may turn out to be a nuisance that is unacceptable or merely a quirk and time will tell. For now I have 2 cookers of minimum weight that expands my 2 canteen cup meals if need arises.
