So much is wrong about the LP 7. It doesn't feel right and is a serious departure from the 6. Pros Wide toe box Better grip (MaxTrac compound on the sole that is more durable and offers more traction in wet conditions) Heel loop is in the correct direction Cons -Too tight in the shank and mid sole -Slips to easily with dri fit socks -Too much cushion in the sole -Shoes rub heels and ankles due to the friction created between the lining of shoes and the skin on the Achilles and ankle. -Feels heavier -lower profile no-sew TPU overlay -Drains slower

I generally rely on these shoes for about 40-60 miles a week in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah. These shoes feel great while they are still in one piece. I have had 2 pairs of the 7's and a few pairs of the 6's. Both versions had major durability issues. I have never gotten more than 300 miles out of a a pair from either generation. It is a bummer, because the tread, cushion, etc. feels great it is just that they barely last a few weeks of consistent running.
