Not what it was...

Bought this to replace my Sala construction harness. This is the same version I've been using since Sala came out with it. I'm probably on 5th or 6th one. I'm a Union Carpenter that does scaffolding mainly, all my tools are on my harness. I usually get around 3 years out of them. I like consistency, and the product always did what I needed. I'm 5'7", 180 and run a medium size harness that allows me adjustment for any clothing situation. T-shirt, sweatshirt, heavy jackets, it adjusts to them all. The new version is definitely less weight than the older version, but it has some draw backs. I bought another medium, and it seems to be larger than the old version. I'm almost out of room trying to cinch the belt closed and that's with a jacket on. I have a loaded tool belt, and like to keep the weight on my hips, and not my shoulders. I wish the sizing stayed the same as the older version. Also, the leg straps do not stay tight, they constantly loosen. The old ones never did. Working at heights all day, messing around with straps is not what I want to do. Might have to try a different size or a different harness all together. Seems to be the way these days. Produce a good product that everyone likes, and mess with it till it's not.

Real use from workers

I used to use exo fit nex 1113216 straps. After changing to x-300 1113216, I found many problems. For example, the leg straps would loosen and become loose all the time. The button pins rusted very quickly after a few weeks of use. The D-ring stitching on the back deteriorated quickly after only two years of use. However, the problems that occurred with the new set were not the same with my old strap (Exo fit nex) that I used for 4 years.

Very loose fit

Work in wind, and company bought this harness for me. Leg straps constantly come loose/ have to re-adjust. Ive worn an older version of this harness and didn't have a loose problem, but these seem to fit loosely around the legs and shoulder straps wont tighten enough. Makes it uncomfortable to use climb assist in towers.
