Ignored Flaw

The unit overall is quite impressive thus far. BUT, there is a most notable flaw running right down the middle of the screen. A black strip becomes very noticeable when the unit is lit in a dark room. Customer service immediately recognized the issue I described and told me to ‘lighten the room' … which is like a car salesman telling me to turn up the radio to offset the rattling noise. So, if you are like most people that like dark settings with your lit fire, be prepared to see this eye catching flaw.

Uses a simple USB for flames that is faulty

Not impressed with this fireplace. I've had constant issues with the visualization on this fireplace. Right out of the box we would turn it on and no flames would display, just a light box. It slowly got worse until I started to get errors on the screen and they mailed me a new USB to replace (that part was simple). It's happening again months later where we turn on the fireplace and nothing appears. For this much money you pay for a simple USB that stores the visuals for the fire
