Third time buyer from ragnaroc; obviously, I am pleased with the quality. First batch was a trial run. The second batch filled my windowless bathroom to deal with the moisture. This worked great until an over 100 degree day cooked them. Third times the charm? I am experimenting to see where inside they will be happiest. It is my hope they will become year-round residents, rather than a few months bouquet. All I currently know about the plant is what I have read on the internet, so, not an authority. I live in the Pacific Northwest, not the most extreme weather, but also not the most temperate. My apartment is drafty and affected by the outside, so not the most static indoor environment. As you can see from attached photos, I am experimenting with a lamp shade placement. The holders are the suction cup ones I reviewed elsewhere. They refused to lay flat on a curved surface, so I snipped a few to see if that helped. It did and didn't. After a time, they pulled up and reconnected and it is difficult to see the difference between the ones I snipped and the ones I left alone. Now that the plants are here, I'm glad the suction cups don't lay flat because being raised allows for more room for the plant. I wish the holders were even further away from the surface. I started placing the holders prior to even ordering the air plants. The double stick alien tape I favor wasn't adhering to the lamp as reliably as it usually does. If you leave the tape in place a day or two before peeling off the other side and attaching something to it, it has a stronger bond. If the holder is in place a few days prior to placement of the plants, that is also a better bond. I started at the top, got so far, and thought, what am I doing? If you don't have the plants in hand, it is difficult to know the spacing. And, too, I don't know if I need the smaller holders or the larger ones. While I believe the shade filters the light, I'm not sure if the plants will be happy at the top where they'll get direct light. The circumference of my shade is about 50 inches. With my original spacing, four rows, it would hold 48 plants. It could easily hold more. I am working with what I have, but were I to start from scratch, I would favor a cone shade over a cylinder or the flat surface of a rectangular shade. The curve and the slope allows more room for the plant. The last photo is of the screen door. The figurines are on the cross bar, and a curtain is behind it to reduce the light and the heat. It is an east facing door about 12 feet from the street asphalt. A north facing door would be better. I placed the plants there just as a photo op. It is still too cold for them to be outside. May, June, September, October. Four months tops. There is sufficient space between the two doors for small plants to be in front of the figurines as well. I am waiting to see how the others do first.

I'm beyond happy I purchased from this company! I got extras and they are all so beautiful and healthy. It just took a long time to get here but it came on time.
