    Works Great!

I was a little apprehensive when I saw this fryer was 1/2 the price of most other fryers. It worked absolutely perfect on my 1st attempt. I was able to set the temp with the adjustable valve on the propane line which made it super easy. I read the other reviews that complained about the 15min safety timer. Don't let this bother you, a quick search of YouTube brings up several how-to videos on easy ways to disable this. I followed the simple bypass instructions and didn't have to worry about constantly checking and resetting the timer. One more tip, I was shocked to find out the oil costs $6 or more per gallon and you need 4-5 gallons. A little shopping and I ended up buying a single 4.5 gallon container at BJs for only $18.

    Deeper fryer disappointment

The stamped metal burner will have a short life span and the regulator does a very poor job control the delivery press. The burner stand legs are NOT even and I had to shim the legs to level the stand and stop it from rocking. This was on a flat level surface. The timer is a useless gadget that can cause problems since it times out way to fast and could lead to greasy turkey if you allow it to shut off before you finish cooking. My old cooker was good but I needed a new pot so I'm 'back to using my old cooker. Only Pro was it was cheaper tot buy the entire set than buy a pot.

    Safety Hazard

The fryer worked great. My only concern (after spending 25+ years in the Fire Department) is having to kneel down beside a boiling pot of oil to reset the timer EVERY 15 minutes. That has to he the dumbest set up I have ever seen! Very Poor Design and a major burn/safety hazard!!!

    Not exactly as pictured

Picture shows a cast iron burner. The actual burner is not. It's steal about 1/16 thickness. The frame is only tack welded and not full welds. It feels sturdy however, I'll have to see how well it stands up to use. The timer is only 15 minutes so you have to remember to reset it or it's flame out. For the price I'd say it's a good deal because the pot alone was selling for over $40. For $49 you get the burner, pot, thermometer etc.

    Deep Fried..Yummy

This fryer works great, takes 3 gallons of oil to do a turkey(ours was about 16-18 lbs)injected it with a butter mix and it was sooo good, folks couldn't keep their hands out of it,taste testing it they said.We filtered the oil and fried another one for a friend the next day and it was better than the first. My husband wants to fill the freezer with turkey's and chickens to fry all year long,My husband has a new hobby.Oh and it has a safety timer so you have to stay close by.Holiday food has a new dish.

    first time fryer

got it yesterday all parts were there hooked it to tank this morning . everything works for the price less than others .

    Great Fryer for Your Buck

Easy to assemble and use. Great for the low cost. We found the 15 min safety shut-off timer to be the only downside.

Wasn't crazy about it. Wouldn't buy it again.

The lid was bent so it wouldn't seal. The pot was not round; probably mashed in shipping. Had to bend it back to buy hand to get the lid to set on it. The assembly instructions were pathetic. The timer (15 minutes) was ridiculous. Installed a 4 1/2 hour piece of duct tape to fix it so I could cook my ham. It did heat pretty good and the adjustable valve made it easy to maintain a constant temperature. The knob on it was poorly marked though, and made it had to see which way to run it to increase or decrease the flame.

I've been frying turkeys with the same pot for 15 years and decided to buy a new one. I ordered this set online and it was delivered on time. The box was in perfect condition and factory sealed. Upon opening the box I noticed two dime sized dents below the oil fill line. I filled it with water and it immediately started leaking. It was obvious the manufacturer produced a defective product. Before buying I saw other reviews saying the same but didn't believe it. Next time I will. I returned it and bought a $50 pot. My 15 year old American made burner works fine so maybe I can get another 15 out of it with my new American made pot.

    Great turkey fryer!!

I bought this unit to start frying turkey for thanksgiving and Christmas and I'm not disappointed. It struggles to regain lost temperature when you drop a bird in which was hard to get it to recover from. Had to raise the heat real high to compensate for it. Timer is nice but 15 minutes is WAY to short, Shuts fryer off and have to relight again, unless you catch it. After I learned it was doing that I kept an eye on it to keep the flame running.
