    Solid workout
Finally! A workout that produces results. I am 57 yrs young and needed a workout that would help with the tummy and strengthening. With a combination of cardio, strength and core work after 2 days I finally felt muscles that haven't been used in awhile. I have more energy and will stick with Jillian for the next 30 days.

    For absolute beginners only!
This was not the workout I was expecting at all. I am a huge fan of Jillian Micheals dvds and find them challenging. Levels one and two are barely more than an extended warm up. Level three is okay but too short for me to feel like I got a good workout. I am almost 50 pounds overweight and have not been active in a long time and this dvd wad not challenging enough for me.

    From a size 16 to a 10!

Jillian Michaels is the best in the business. I started this workout program in January, I was size 16 pant and 2x in tops. I've combined this program with zumba fitness and realistic diet and I'm now a size 10. Put on my bathing suit last weekend for the first time and actually felt confident. Good thing the prices at Walmart are so reasonable, I basically needed a new woredrobe!!!

For once I feel I will lose weight!

This is an amazing work out video! You will have muscles burning that you never knew existed!! half way through you start thinking.. "I must be insane what was I thinking getting this video?!" That's what I thought...Now after finishing the 1st workout I know I can do it again only better!! This video is definitely for the type of people who can never work up a sweat during workouts [trust me you will] and for the people out there who think they will never lose weight. [Trust me you will!] I haven't lost weight yet but I know if I keep doing these 20 minute workouts everyday I will see progress and you will to! Good hint: A lot of confidence is required. 10 minutes through you may want to give up #I know I wanted to# Just push through it.

    Really good exercise dvd

I have never watched the biggest loser or seen Jillian on any show so I didn't have any preconceived notions about what to expect. I assumed that she was very good and she is. Her straight-forward, no-nonsense approach is very comforting when you are struggling to maintain the moves that she asks of you. I love it when she says "You can do this move! I have 400 lb people doing this move and they do it just fine" or something to that effect. It reminds that I can push myself because a if a 400 lb person can do this, so can I...lol

    So far it's WONDERFUL

I am turning 30 this year & want to have a fresh, healthy start. I like Jilian in the aspect that she is more of a rough & tumble type of person, nothing fragile about her & she pushes the limits. I had a co-worker that used this dvd & had wonderful results. Why not give it a try myself, after reading the other reviews, it looked as though others were having good results too. I am only 1 week into the workout & can feel a change on the inside. On day 2 it was a little rough & day 3 --- oh my the sore muscles! But I would refer this product to anybody interested - I am literally going from couch potato to a healthier lifestyle with the help of this workout. Give it a try! I'm very satisfied so far.

    Great Trainer and Workouts

Jillian is a Great Trainer of course and her Workouts will leave you knowing that you've accomplished something unlike some workout DVDs that I've used in the past... I'm just a beginner and I haven't been using it for very long but I feel that it's working because of how I feel afterwards... There are some exercises that I can't do correctly because I have a stiff wrist and an injured knee but I still try to do them because I'm hoping it will strengthen them...

    1. it depends how fast you want results like me i do one level every day or just do a level five days and weekends rest
    by Magenta44
    2. It's 20 minutes a day. I am working level one for one week then on to level 2 for a week then finally level 3 for the last 2 weeks. All levels are included on this dvd.
    by traveler414
    3. every day..its hard to start.
    by beautyjunkie
    4. You should do it 5-6 times a wk to get the best results and rest one day out of the wk.
    by An anonymous customer
    5. I ride my elliptical 30 minutes each day and on 4 days a week, I alternate as follows: Debbie Rodriguez's "Success in the Saddle" (also 20 minute workout) because I ride horses. That way, I am not doing the same old workout - different muscles get to work and rest. I hope this helps. Oh, and I took my measurements before starting.
    by Skeggi
    6. I do it 5 days a week & am seeing results
    by lizt07
    7. You can do it every day if you like I do it every day for one week, and the next week I take two days off.
    by Lollipops212
    8. When I was heavy I did it almost every day. Now, I go to a gym, so I really only use it when I can't get to the gym
    by zumbaguy
    9. You should work out every day with this DVD. It's is meant as a 30 Day program and it shouldn't be taken lightly. As Jillian mentions several times throughout each workout, if you want results, you have to push and force yourself to work out.
    by ShortieShopper1095
    10. For best results, try every day. It's a quick 30 minutes & if you find yourself pushing it off - schedule a time to set aside.
    by SimplyLippy
    11. For best results, every day, since it's only 20 minutes.

    1. I am dripping sweat after 20 minutes. I would say high.
    by crazyscorp
    2. I'd say high
    by socalimomof4
    3. Jillian shows you a low impact person performing the workout. I have knee problems and I could still do this workout.
    by traveler414
    4. High impact, although Jillian does provide an exerciser who shows the low impact way to perform the exercises. Even the low impact was difficult for me the first couple of times.
    by BlueJacketGirl
    5. Low impact. The moves are very basic and simple.
    by tiredmom247
    6. I would consider this to be a low to moderate impact workout as there is 10 min of moderate and 10 min of low impact for total of 20 minutes. The level 3 may be a little more of high but still switch back and forth from standing exercise to lying on floor exercise.
    by AmbrosiaRed
    7. I WOULD SAY LOW IMPACT.
    by THE1GT
    8. I would consider this High Impact with Low impact modifications.
    by An anonymous customer
    9. I would say high impact. The video is short but has some tough moves. jumping jacks, plank jacks, squat thrusts, moving pushups, mountain climbers, etc.
    by SmileyBanker
    10. you can choose the level of impact by kicking or jumping higher
    by ontar
    11. I have only done Level I. The cardio is high impact - jump-rope (without the rope) and jumping jacks. I do these on my trampoline (cellercise) and it works great. I wear socks with rubber dots so I can go back and forth from the floor to the cellercise easily.

    1. They are both the same format, circuit training. There are just different moves in each one.
    by Mommabones
    2. A previous reviewer is correct in that there are different moves in the Ripped in 30 than in the 30 Day Shred. There are similar moves but also different ones. There is also four levels in the Ripped in 30 then in the 30 Day Shred. I've done both. the 30 Day Shred came first and then the Ripped in 30. I recommend you get BOTH. They're super cheap. Go through the 30 Day Shred and then move to the Ripped in 30 to change it up. They're amazing!!!
    by christscountrygirl
    3. I'm not 100% sure but I think that the "Ripped in 30 Days" would be more like sets of body building workouts to help tone up or tighten up your body and the "30 Day Shred" would be a set of workouts to take off or loose weight more than tone them up... That's not saying that both DVDs wouldn't help you tone up and/or loose weight but each one kinda targets that certain result that you want...
    by firebird1987
    4. 30 day shred is much better for beginners
    by AJG04
    5. Its basically the same thing, ripped is just harder.
    by steffz
    6. Ripped in 30 I felt was better set up the way it was broken down in 4wk program, loved it!
    by 14094Mom
    7. I own both DVD's and both are great. If you are just starting out I would start with 30 day shred and then move on to ripped in 30.
    by Mom2NB
    8. I don't know, but the research I did pointed to 30 day shred as being the best DVD. Also the 30 Day shred is so inexpensive - take the risk and buy it. It's excellent!
    by Skeggi
    9. 30 day shred (On level 1, cuz that's as far as I've gotten# has abs #regular, bicycle, & reverse#, squats, jumping jacks, jump rope #without the rope), some light weight lifting. It's basically 3 minutes cardio, 2 minutes strength, and 1 minute abs over and over again for a total of 25-30 minutes of workout. I'm sorry I can't help with the ripped in 30, but I would think it'd have more ab workout and probably more weights. To me "shred" says weight loss while "ripped" says toning.
    by Squeekie13
    10. I haven't tried the "Ripped in 30", but boy do I want to! the "30 Day Shred" is a 25 minute workout. I didn't get much weight loss on it (using 3lb hand-weights), even when I built up the strength to do all three levels IN ONE DAY. I say try the Ripped in 30 and post results!
    by JJ540
    11. Ripped is 30 is a little bit more advanced than 30 day shred. If you are just starting out I would go with 30 day shred first and then move on to Ripped in 30.
