We enhance and extend the manufacturer's warranty.*

Our Product Care Plan provides more coverage than the manufacturer's warranty, such as failures due to:

  • Power surges
  • Defects in materials and workmanship
  • Mechanical or electrical failures, including those due to normal wear and tear

I bought a Hamilton Counter Top oven because we were moving into a small building with the stove only a hot plate and this oven. I didn't use it for about 9 months but when we moved I started to use it. the timer handle being plastic broke, I went to buy one to replace it and this was NOT something you could buy to replace. I sent them a picture @ Hamilton products where I called and I paid the shipping and they sent me a brand new one in a good time. YES I do recommend this. I am sorry that Wal-Mart when I bought my Microwave did not ask me if I wanted Insurance because the Hamilton Microwave that cost 73.00 is sparking. I only have had it since April. When I bought my Air-conditioner that cost me 130.00 they did not offer me insurance at the store either. @ the Wal-Mart in Caldwell, TX.... I am only unhappy with that. BECAUSE getting this Insurance is GREAT and worth the money ....

the keurig coffee maker is the best and easiest to use. not only was it cheaper than anywhere else, it also came with a gift card, which made it cheaper still.

The Keurig comes with a 1-year warranty out of the box. Does the 2-year Walmart plan add to this? In other words, am I covered for 3 years? The description on this web page says, "Your product is covered the moment you complete your purchase" and that the term is 24 months. If it, indeed, starts the moment I complete my purchase, then it sounds like 2-years (not 3) is all the coverage I get.

  • A. If you think about it, it's NOT fair at all. Here you have a ONE year Walmart plan and an additional 2 year plan you are paying for concurrently. To top it off, the warranty starts from the day of purchase! Suppose it's a present and not used until a month later, or a gift that must be sent waiting until the event to open and use, or it's ordered online which arrives 2 weeks later? Why should date of purchase be the starting date? I'd check with my renter's or homeowner's insurance about covering it and covering "full replacement cost" AND what it covers. I've heard consumer news stories that says not to buy an extra warranty as it's a waste of money.

  • A. yes that is the way I take it too. If you already have a 1 year warranty by the manufacturer and then you add this 2 year warranty, which starts the second you buy it, then I'm guessing it will just cover whatever the manufacturer's warranty won't cover (within the specified guidelines) for the first year and then it will take over for the 2nd year

  • A. Sorry, it is only 2 years total, not ADD 2 years as advertised. The first year is already covered by Keurig, so you only get an extra year. But I had 2 Keurig Platinums die at 13 months, so I did this on my third. It died in 2 weeks so the warranty, which is serial number specific is now worthless. Not a recommended purchase.

  • A. It's 2 years, not 3. The 2-year care plan runs concurrently with the manufacturer's 1-year warranty. I've learnt the hard/ expensive way that relying on the manufacturer (of practically any/ all electronics item) may be frustrating and disappointing. The 2-year Walmart care-plan begins from the moment of purchase for good reason: Should the item become damaged in-transit in any way.. it's covered. Not to mention the fact that should the electronics item become damaged due to a power surge, the care-plan covers that loss completely (where as the manufacturer will NOT). I have a Keurig coffee maker and I love it.. no issues. It's a real tank of a coffee brewer (sturdy, strong, makes a great cup of coffee). I've spoken to Keurig product support/ tech support in the past and they're very helpful and available (will assist in whatever way they can) but their manufacturer's warranty is limited. They certainly wouldn't cover an item if it has been damaged via power surge. The Walmart care-plan WILL. Well worth it.

  • A. Yes. You're right. 24 months from purchase date. I cancelled my first contract because I couldn't get a straight answer to the same question. But reinstated it after the great service from Customer service. Strongly suggest take the warranty.

  • A. It does sound like I am getting only a 2 year warranty. The manufacture guarantees one year and you guarantee two years. That should be three years from date of purchase to be an additional two year warranty.

  • A. Walmart will NOT honor this if you take it back to the store after 3 months of purchase. I speak from experience as I just tried to return a product that quit working today. Had all my receipts so that was not the issue.

  • A. Just keep your invoice/receipt. I did not get anything either except the same messages you got. Still Walmart will honor the invoice. I you find yourself needing to use the replacement plan, I would just return the item to the store.

  • A. The Receipt from the order is what you will receive. They dont actually send something separately like you would think by the description. If the product breaks you will need the email receipt they email you when you placed the order. Hope thats helps

  • A. I received an e-mail in a day or so with the Warranty that I was to print off; however, the website's description of the plan is not what you get - so be sure and check out what you actually purchased against what you receive! I ended up cancelling the Walmart plan because it was not anything like the description.

  • A. Comes in email, check your spam, or check your walmart account and print out your purchase or call walmart and get the service plan phone number and call them...This is a great service plan, keep your receipt for your product, if anything happens all you have to do is call the warranty plan and they will take care of it quickly...I've had to use mine and it was painless.

Just tell the clerk you would like to purchase the plan at the same time you are picking up the unit and the information will probably will be confirmed on your computer at home through an email. To be sure, just ask the Walmart clerk at the service counter where you pick up your order.
