Good Taste/ Great Value

Very good rice. Slightly "sticky" like a Chinese restaurant. Clumps have to be broken up when reheating- not a problem. Great in soups.

Lots of rice for a low price

Had lots of dinners with this rice it really lasted

Nice Rice

I've purchased this brand of rice for quite a while. I rinse it off in cold water before preparing it. It tastes nice and I use it in many recipes.

Really good

It cooks really fast :)

A staple in our house!

In Louisiana, so many of our dishes have rice as an ingredient, or are served over rice. Extra long grain rice is the best variety. We serve our gumbo over rice, our shrimp creole over rice, and jambalaya is a rice dish with your choice of meat or shrimp cooked with it, along with onion, celery and bell peppers......also known as the Cajun holy trinity of all food! Rice lasts just about forever, and is so cheap, why not buy a large bag like this? I do store it in an air tight container, though. Don't want any bugs getting any of my precious rice!

1. Trinidad uses a third party to determine nutritional information for dried beans and rice. The values are based on serving sizes. Other companies use USDA values that are based on 100 gram test values, thus returning different nutritional values.

2. There is really no nutritional value to enriched white rice. It is a carbohydrate and that's about it. 160 cal per serving. 36g carbs, 3g protein if that is what you are looking for.
