Naxa NPB252 Portable CD/MP3 Player

I researched a number of similar products that would play commercial CD's as well as MP3 files before deciding on this one. This item was purchased to play music for my wife who is in a nursing home and enjoys listening to music. While I have only checked out the radio portion of this player briefly it seemed to work okay. The CD portion of the player works great with good, clear audio and plenty of volume. All functions of the player worked as they were supposed to. A good product for the price.

Great audiobook player for MP3 CDs

The Naxa Portable CD/MP3 Player comes with an AM/FM radio, although I use it solely to listen to audiobooks. The speakers are nice and clear, and the volume is sufficiently loud that I can put it in one room and walk about the house doing chores and still follow along with the book. The only negative is that when the power is turned off, the system does not have memory to restart the audio disk at the same point when the power was turned off. This non-memory feature is similar to the way boomboxes perform with non-MP3 CDs. To overcome this problem, I listen to the audio book to end of a track, e.g., track 20, and then when I restart the audiobook, I know to begin on track 21. But that requires writing down the last track number so that it can be recalled when restarting the book.

Exactly the same as shown online

I only used CD player. The volume can be tuned loud enough. The size is smaller than a soccer ball so I can put it on top of my piano.
