This is a sturdy desk that was simple to put together in about 45 minutes ( for me anyway) and its really cute, just like photo. The measurements are 47 1/4" side to side and 23 3/4" front to back. The only draw backs I had are with the bolt "nut" for the top of all four legs to slide through. The " nut" has a hole that you slide the bolt through and it was a little tricky to get the nut turned just right to fit the bolt through and also the top of the desk, it will stain easily with anything greasy or oily. So that includes banana bread on a paper towel too. I would recommend this if you dont care about ot easily staining.
