It is a gift for my first husband’s (deceased) son (alive) that he had after we were divorced a long time ago, but we were still good friends. His son and my son went to school together and were friends also. And now that all my ex-husband’s family except his mother, who needs a lot of care now, is passed away, her grandson and I help take care of her together. I found an old picture of this woman’s son and put it in a frame I had on hand and gave it to the elderly mother, and it brought tears to her eyes. She loved it and has it on display now. I noticed the grandson probably wanted a copy, and I asked if he wanted one too, and he did. He didn’t have a lot of photos of his dad from his dad’s past because there just didn’t exist. I am trying to fill in the blanks with as many photos as I can even though his dad was camera shy. I wanted to give him one of the last pictures I had of his dad when he was smiling and before his diabetes got so bad that he went downhill from there and never recovered. I used the same old picture of him in Hawaii that I gave his Grandmother and printed it out, but I needed the perfect frame. This shade of grey goes with literally everything in my house--I have whites, creams, dark brown, and light greys.Size as expected. This is sturdier than frames I had previously. The glass is fairly thick and strong. I will definitely be getting more of these to use in my dining room.
