SAC Viking Chess Set, Hand-Painted (without board)

A hand-painted Viking themed chess set by renowned ornamental chess specialist, SAC. These superbly detailed pieces are made from crushed stone poly resin and then beautifully painted by hand in Britain.

This chess set features a variety of traditional Viking characterisations, weaponry, battle armour and even a longship as rook.

The Vikings were Germanic Norse seafarers. They raided and traded from their Scandinavian homelands across wide areas of northern and central Europe, as well as European Russia, during the 8th to 11th centuries. This was a period of Norse military, mercantile and demographic expansion.

Includes SAC certificate of authenticity.
