This bad boy is pretty bright red

The red colander is about 6" high setting on the bar and about 11" across the top. It is durable and heavy(not too heavy to use) not like some of the flimsy ones I received the other day from an alphabet named place! I am going to put fruit or something in it and set it on my Z-bar just for looks. I am sure it would work as it has draining holes and many for draining, after all thats what its for. I just think it is a beautiful piece to put in my black/red kitchen. Its really nice, large& pretty bright red with a shiney silver look around it! Thanks, Wal-mart for the pretty things you find! Although its a bit more pricey than I would normally pay. But, worth it for this bad boy!

I love the enameled collanders. Bought three sizes. Definitely nice! Nothing is worse than a too small collander, or one that cannot handle the weight and "leg" collapses! They are lighter than my older one...that someone sqashed!! I'd suggest the 7 quart for canning or big family get togethers. 5 quart is perfect for 4-5 people. 3 quart for 1-2 people.
