Adapting the Schuko socket

I needed an extension cord rated for European voltage for an extended vacation in Germany. We stay in budget Gasthaus hotels, and wall taps are not always conviently spaced to power my CPAP. This cord fills the bill, but the Schuko female plug required a simple modification. It is very deep with two grounding clips. My multiple outlet two-prong adapter would not reach deep enough to plug in to the Schuko socket. But I had on hand simple 2 prong male European to female European/ US plugs, and stuck it into the Schuko socket, and it it extended the electrical connection past the rubber cover, and short stem male plugs insert fine. In a pinch, you could cut off the protective rubber cover.
