When a large, unusual leaf blows in their path, Poppy and friends head off in the hot air balloon to find the Trumpet Tree Forest to see more leaves, but are thwarted when Bound-O, the Bouncing Leaf Man (Egbert) pokes a hole in their balloon. They find the forest with help from a reluctant Toad, and Mo is able to blow into a Trumpet Flower and Poppy patches the balloon with the fallen leaves.

Zuzu is so disappointed that there are no good hills for sledging on his new toboggan that Poppy takes them to Chilly Hills in the campervan, where Mo discovers a stowaway polar bear cub named Alfie who has run away from home. The campervan is pulled over by Hoofer, Chief Reindeer of the Snow Patrol (Egbert), who makes them play 'Hoofer Says' while Alfie runs away again. Alfie is reunited with his father and the gang enjoys real sledging at last.

While watching 'Rocket Cat,' there is a powercut, leaving Poppy and friends to worry about the fate of their hero, who is trapped in the Marshmallow Mines. They take the rocket to assist him, but are stopped by Dr. Stickybrain (Egbert) and his sidekick Igor (puppet) who puts them to work in the mines until a tremor causes them to find a way out, by using Super-Sticky Stomper Boots made of marshmallows, which impresses Rocket Cat very much.

After a chrysalis hatches a beautiful jungle butterfly, Poppy and the gang decide to take it back to Flutterby Falls in the hot air balloon so it can be with its friends; they are soon accosted by Colonel Flappythings, Butterfly Collector who tries to take the butterfly but punctures their balloon instead. An angry gorilla named Vince arrives but all is put right when he gets his sock back and he leads them to Flutterby Falls where hundreds of butterflies assist in carrying their balloon back ho

While sledging on a hot day, the gang discover a melting snowman and decide to take him to the North Pole in their sailing ship, only to encounter Frostbite, the Evil Ice Elf (Egbert) who refuses the snowman passage to the North Pole and causes their ship to spring a leak. The friends save the snowman and get home themselves with the help of a kindly whale.

After Zuzu eats the last of Mo's new jellybeans, the gang is off in their rocketship for Planet Ring-O-Beans, to obtain new ones, but are stopped by Ultrazoid, Ruler of the Rings (Egbert) who insists that Poppy race him around the rings. Wearing Zuzu's new skates, Poppy wins and they save their ship and get new jellybeans for all.

When Zuzu wishes he could see his new skateboard trick, Poppy suggests a trip in the campervan to Twisty Tree Ridge, where they can make a video. They are interrupted by Peckosaurus, the Dinosaur Chicken (Egbert), who tries to be in the video, until Poppy steers him away and films Zuzu's trick with an added bonus: a fearful Mo is on the skateboard, too.

When Zuzu fails to play guitar well, Owl suggests they search for the 'golden guitar' found in the Desert of the Crazy Sun, with Poppy and friends off in the car, which soon gets stuck in the sand. They trudge to a Golden Pyramid where King Pennytoot (Egbert) insists they buy lemonade from his stand; when they refuse the sour drink, he inadvertently causes the pyramid to open, revealing a trove of musical instruments for them all to play, with Owl as conductor.

Alma is missing one rare flower in her pressed collection, so Poppy suggests a train ride to Yodel Mountain, where they find the 'Alpine Honeyblossom' but Alma decides it's too beautiful to pick. Ludwig, the Yodel King (Egbert) arrives and causes a small avalanche, so Poppy leads the retreat to a cave where a bear named Mulligan gives Alma permission to pick the rare flower from his vast field of blooms.

After Owl suggests that Mo's precious collection would be safest in a museum, Poppy takes them to the Moon in her rocket, where Mo sets up in their playhouse until Space Chicken, Guard of Museums (Egbert) arrives and insists there be no talking or touching items. When Egbert pokes a hole in the ceiling, Mo's collection starts to float into space until Poppy suggests they all use their hopscotch skills to save them.

The friends go on a camping adventure by train to the Blue Rock Mountains to see stars, but Zuzu confesses to Poppy that he's never been camping because he's afraid of the dark. During a game of hide and seek, Zuzu is scared off by the Spooky Chicken (Egbert), until his friends point out that he ran through the dark woods by himself, thus making Zuzu feel better about his fears and camping.

After Mo's gift of a tiny seashell to Alma does not yield the sound of the ocean, the gang set out on the ship for a faraway island to find bigger shell; on the way, Owl learns of the Rose Cave and Gilda is no help at all. Once they find the cave, it is blocked by the web of Giant Spider-Crab-Person (Egbert) but they find a way through and meet two dolphins (Dean and Bella) who find them the perfect seashell as well as give them a ride out of the cave.
