Feeding Instructions
Begin by offering it as a thin gruel. Determine the amount of KMR 2nd Step powder to be fed to the kitten at each feeding using the feeding guidelines. Reconstitute powder by using 3 parts (a part is any measuring device, i.e. teaspoon, tablespoon, or cup) liquid KMR or water to 1 part powder for the first few days. Offer only small amounts and remove the uneaten portion after no more than 20 minutes. Weigh the kittens at least once a week to monitor weight gain and adequacy of feeding. As kittens grow, decrease the amount of water mixed with the powder until weaning food is an oatmeal consistency. KMRR 2nd Step should be lapped from a bowl. KMR 2nd Step has been formulated to meet the nutritional needs of young kittens being weaned from mother, or bottle fed kittens progressing to solid foods. Kittens that are up on their feet and lapping from a bowl (4 to 5 weeks of age) may be introduced to KMR 2nd Step. Begin by offering as a thin gruel. Determine the daily amount of KMR 2nd Step powder to be fed to the kitten using the Feeding Instructions on reverse side. Fresh, clean water should always be available for drinking. It is recommended that KMR 2nd Step be fed until kittens are ready to transition to solid food (7 to 8 weeks of age). Kittens should be fed 4 times per day. Weigh the kittens at least once a week to monitor weight gain and adequacy of feeding. More or less food may be needed by individual kittens to satisfy their food requirements for optimal growth. As kittens grow, decrease the amount of water mixed with the powder until weaning food is an oatmeal consistency.

Great product for kittens who are weaning after being bottle fed. I am fostering kittens and used this when weaning off of bottles.they babies were initially syringe and then Bottle fed. I used this product when they were 7 -9 weeks.old. I transitioned when I started using wet food for them in addition to the bottles as per my vet. This CANNOT be used in a kitten bottle or syringe and is to to introduced as lapping up out of a bowl. It took them a few servings to get used to drinking. Please be patient. I was also feeding them Royal Cain wet food- stage two -baby cat food. I do recommend and did reorder this product.

Great nutrition for your kittens
There is nothing to dislike about this wonderful replacement milk for infant cats. I've been hand raising my orphan kitten and he loves his goat's milk! His growth has been astronomical each week on this very digestible and nutritionally sound product. He now eats both solid food and continues with his bottle and is slowly being weaned. KMR 2nd step is great for anybody who needs to bottle feed any animal that your vet recommends feeding drink goat's milk to for any reason.
