Wifi Troubles among others

The iPad won't let me turn on wifi, I had to spend 30 minutes on a chat with Apple. When I finally did manage to turn on the wifi, the iPad won't connect or even detect any wifi even when all other devices can. I'm beyond upset because I can't find anyone to talk to about this problem and I haven't even been able to log into the iPad so it's basically useless.
