The pedal crank bearings were destroyed when I received the bike as always. BCA never greases them and they ALL fail. I bought some heavy duty 9 ball caged crank bearings, greased them well, and installed them. Also, Kent made some improvements that include a better seat, alloy crank arms, better rims with tightened spokes and greased bearings, higher quality and longer brake pads, as well as better tires. For what I paid I cannot complain. I love the deep midnight blue anodized look. Another thing is this bike is tall, super tall. If you raise the seat just a bit this bike pedals along smooth and easy. My E bike taught me to go faster, and I never knew all bikes can go that fast. This Fixie Thruster is not for kids or beginners. It is fast and tall, designed to be an awesome commuter bike. I am a large person (6' 1") and it suits me well.

Don't think twice- just get it!

This is my first fixie, so I didn't want to spend a ton of cash in case it wasn't for me. Since you can set it up to be a dedicated fixed-wheel or coaster, it is easy to go between the two. Good quality for the price. Everything arrived undamaged and in only 4 days! Packed super well. Assembly was about an hour with proper tools, which you will need. This bike might be a little small if you are 6 feet or taller and wear over size 10 men's shoe (I'm both). Your feet will hit the front wheel when turning and pedaling at the same time due to the compactness of the frame. I usually just move my feet back on the pedal to avoid this minor inconvenience and will most likely put my clip on pedals on this bike to really keep my foot away from the wheel. Sounds like overkill for this bike, but I really dig it. Overall, this bike exceeds my expectations and would gladly recommend it. Very quick and maneuverable due to the compact frame. The first ride was a little stiff, but the bike is starting to loosen up nicely. It really takes on the rough roads as well as paved trails with the slightly wider tires. Good stuff!

Great fitness & Commuter bike!

I wanted to start riding a bike again for exercise only, and started shopping around for simple, low priced bike and saw this Kent online...Iv'e never rode a fixie type bike such as this one before, so I decided to give it a try. At the low price of $79.99, I knew I could not go wrong. To my amazement the bike shipped to the store within 2 days, and upon opening the box I was surprised no parts were damaged, but rather only a small scratch on the fork. Assembly was quite easy, that anyone can put it together within 15 minutes or so. The bike frame itself is sturdy and well built, while the parts are of fair quality. After riding two rides on the bike trail, I must say that the bike rides very smooth and quiet. Though it is called a fixie bike, it does not have a fixed gear hub, just single speed... This Kent bike is the perfect fitness bike and would make a great bike for those who need a bike for commuting.
