NORSTAR chairs are warranted against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for six years from the ORIGINAL DATE OF RETAIL PURCHASE with the following exceptions: Upholstery materials, foam, gas cylinders, wood components and control mechanisms. Upholstery materials and foam are warranted against unusual wear or deterioration and gas cylinders, wood components, and controls against structural failure or unusual wear for TWENTY-FOUR months. All electronic components for the heating units have a 180 day warranty period.

Cheap as in Cheap Quality
This Highback Office chair is about as cheap as cheap can be as far as quality. I think it was $73 so you get what you pay for. Assembly went ok.. I just feel lucky if this chair last 6 months. Usually the weld will break right where the bottom bracket attaches to the gas lift cartridge ... that happens you might as well toss this chair to the curb.

Buy a name brand like Serta. Boss isn't the boss!
The chair was delivered June 26, 2018. I put it together without any problems. I use it daily and I have treated it gently, like everything I own. It lasted about four months until what I call the "power piston" which holds the seat at the level you adjust it to be, went bad. Now, I adjust the chair for a high seat level and when I sit in the chair, it drops to the lowest level. I'm past the return date allowed for the chair so now I'm stuck with it. I take good care of my stuff so the chair still looks almost new. Too bad for me.
