nice little vac BUT.........
by -
Yes it works pretty good but its not quite what I was looking for and really isn't that great on rugs unless you use it on one of those flat commercial rugs. I say that because it has teeny tiny plastic wheels on the bottom (see pic) and it just doesn't stay flat when you vacuum because it is so light in weight, it kinds flips up, hard to explain. I do have hardwood floors too and don't like the way the plastic wheels sound on the floor, I would imagine after time it would start making marks on the floor, its just not smooth on hardwood is what I'm saying. Another thing that was disappointing was looking underneath at the opening, its so small. I mean really it would take forever to do a room. For a quick pick-up its fine and I would give it 5 stars but could never take the place of a regular vacuum, not in my opinion anyway. I think its made well, and does what its supposed to do, I just wish it had smoother/rubber wheels and a bigger opening for picking up dirt. Thank you Walmart for the SUPER QUICK SHIPPING!!!!! You are my new Amazon!!

I would certainly continue to purchase the Bissell.

I have used the Bissell Stick vacuum for probably 25 years or more. I use it on my hardwood floors, to clean out tiny crevices in the sliding glass door, it works great for cleaning out the spider webs in the window wells of the basement, to clean under furniture, and have even used it to vacuum the mats in my car. Because it is so light weight, I use it to vacuum the windows blinds and the cobwebs in the ceiling corners. We adopted two kittens two years ago and the Bissell has met the challenge of all the cat hair as well as the bit of messy kitty litter the cats leave outside their litter box. We just purchased our third Bissell Stick vacuum for somewhere around $30.00 and will continue buy them for as long as they are available. You truly cannot beat the price for the service they provide.

Brittle plastic so it will not last long

I am thrilled with this cleaning tool. It is made of brittle plastic. Normal use will kill the plastic dirt cup. The small snap on feature will break if not treated with caution all the time. I am doing preventive measures to improve the longevity by adding a layer of duct tape to the areas that will be stressed. I almost broke it the first time I took the dirt bin off. It will click back into place but the stress that this small 1/8th inch notch is expected to endure is not going to last. I plan on taping the dirt cup back in place when it is no longer functional. This is a $20 tool. The price is so low you could just call it a disposable. That is not good for the environment. I gave it a 4 star for these reasons. I don't mind improving it. I was using a Dirt Devil hand vac and I was always rushing to finish because the battery would be dying. This is a plug in so you can take you time.

This is my second Bissell stick vac. I have no carpeting. I have an open-concept house. I have a dog that is responsible for most floor dirt. I am a senior citizen and the stick vac is better for me than dragging around a heavy vacuum. It picks up well and is easy to empty. Having said that, what I don't like is the cord is shorter than my previous model, making it necessary to move from plug to plug. Also, the body does not seem to be made of sturdy material. The wheels especially should be made of longer-lasting plastic. Unfortunately, this new one, although the same as my first one, cost twice as much. However, since it costs a fraction of the bigger, better vacuums, I can afford to replace it every few years. So...all in all, I'm satisfied. I was given a cordless Bissell, which I returned to the gift-giver. It started losing its charge in just a few minutes, not worth the cost of the electricity it used to keep it charged.

Bought to quickly clean up kitty litter from laminate flooring. Great suction works wonderful. Just wish cord was a little longer so I could do the whole space in my studio apartment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This product has become a very important tool!
by -
I got acquainted with the the feather lite vacuum with a customer. I liked it well enough to make my own investment in buying my own unit. I have people with pets and if you have ever tried to sweep up the hair, cat hair first and foremost, is very hard to keep it from going everywhere so I felt it might work on floors for that purpose. I have tried the Swiffer vac as well as other battery operated vacs and found that they couldn't do the job. They ended up leaving dirt behind and I had to use a broom anyway. With the Bissell feather-lite vac if it is not picking up it is because it is full but otherwise it picks up all I need it to. I am a very satisfied with my Bissell Feather-lite vac and I have all ready purchased about 3 or 4 and with all I put them through cleaning anywhere between 8 to 12 houses a week every week and they have stood up to the rigorous tasks I put on them. I will keep buying this product because it has become a very important tool for me in my business. Thank you!

Good little backup cleaner
by -
 Verified purchaser
It is good for light touch-ups. The light weight makes it more likely to be used. The price is good. It takes little storage space. The stick part is almost as good as the Eureka Quick-Up. The hand held is almost as good as Dirt Devil Quick Power. This little sweeper captures most of each. I wish it were made more plain that floor nozzle simply pulls off and on, I was looking for a latch. I had to dig out the instruction booklet. My cleaning ladies may not have the book.
