Pros: -Small and convenient to use and carry - Tape fully retracts inside the unit when not is use - Can measure in Inches or Centimeters - Saves the last measurement taken of each body part Con's: None to speak of except that the instructions are in very tiny print. Make sure you wear your glasses. This nifty little unit can be taken out of the top of the packing easily and a quick slit in the bottom of the plastic allows for easy removal of the instructions (which are in very small print). My biggest question about this device was answered when seeing that the tape is removed from one end so that it can fully retract up into the body of the measure when not in use (kind of like a builder's spring loaded tape measure). The Disk battery is protected with a plastic separator that pulls out before the first use. When I pulled it out, part of it remained underneath the battery, and at first, I thought the unit was defective because it would not turn on. The battery is held in by an ingenious little clip that allows the battery to pop out easily when the clip is pulled back just a little. Then it was easy to remove the broken piece of plastic. The battery door is a little tricky. It has to be positioned correctly to close the battery compartment, and although there are markings showing this on the body of the unit, they are hard to see. I went over the raised markings very lightly with a permanent marker so that they show up very well against the orange body of the unit. If you get a little too heavy with the marker, don't worry. A cotton ball with a little bit of lighter fluid or fingernail polish remover will leave enough black to make even the raised instructions on the body of the unit much easier to read. I would never have thought of such a thing. If you need one, it a great little gadget for the price. I got it only because it was bundled with a Health-O-Meter Scale. Who REALLY wants to know just how big they are?. It's bad enough stepping on a scale. I almost wish I hadn't opened it. Now I've got a number for my circumference, and I don't mind saying, that's just a bit depressing! ;-)

Best thing ever!!!! Keeps your last measurement. You can set it for hips, thighs, waist, chest, arm, shoulder, calf, neck. You can also pause the measurement so you can remove the tape and read your measurements!
