The LCD display that shipped with my 3d printer was dead on arrival. Upon connecting it to the mainboard, only the back-light flickers, and nothing is displayed on the LCD.
After that, I tried to connect the printer to a computer and print from there, but the mainboard would not register as a COM device no matter what.
At least the power supply outputs the 12 volts as specified, but none of the other electrical components are. Without a functioning mainboard, I haven't tested if the 4 step motors are Dead on Arrival as well. Considering what happened to the mainboard and display, they may very well be.
Contacting the seller for return/RMA/replacement parts is extremely difficult. Their answering machine says they can be contacted between 8:00 and 22:00, but I have yet to reach an actual representative after 12 phone calls at various hours.
Returning the entire thing via Wal-Mart itself would be a shame, because I've put in close to 10 hours assembling and troubleshooting this thing, and disassembly would take a similar amount of time
Overall extremely unsatisfied.
