Great Bargain
This pancake mix is a bargain! If you make it with water, they are good but measure carefully or you won't have light and fluffy. You will have gummy pancakes. If you want a different taste, just add milk or spices.

Just my opinion..
I'm probably one of very few people who share this opinion, but I don't like this pancake mix. I was unable to get my regular brand, so bought this thinking it's a good name brand and I like their other products. This has a taste to it that I just don't like. After checking online for "add-in" ideas, I am tweaking it so that I don't waste 10# of pancake mix and the money. Yogurt seems to work okay. Will not purchase again.

I purchased before and this is sooo good ,i bought one for my Grandchildren's Mother and Father to Happy Dance together especially on the Weekends.I also use it with Buckwheat and don't have to add any other baking powders or eggs or sugar. But I'll throw in some blueberries and pecans or walnuts .It's Greattt All on its Own.Quality!!!AndAffordable!!!And goes along way too.Thankyou

Easy and Delicious

A delicious product that is easy to make. I like adding vanilla extract, sugar and butter to the recipe.

Best Pancake mix hands down!

I have been using this Krusteaz mix for years and years and it is THE BEST pancake mix. It is also great for battering onion rings or other veggies to fry! Can't find these large bags anywhere but Wal-Mart and they are a great bargain!

as good as homemade!

I have long been disappointed with mixes. You could say I'm a "from-scratch" snob. But the pancakes from this mix are amazing! Makes breakfast VERY quick, easy, and delicious.

1. I just bought a 10 lb bag of Krusteaz on March 23 2016 and the expiration date was September 2017
by garyzw
2. Before are after opening store in a cool dry place tightly seal is best
by garyzw
3. We eat a lot of pancakes but, I still get the latest store date. I am going to give you 2 suggestions: 1. I believe it will be fine for at least six months or so as long as you store securely in a dry cool place. 2. Times have changed and food is not the same. If you are buying for economy sometimes it is best to purchase the right amount and keep things fresh..
by GMommie247
4. Probably 6 month if kept cook and dry. We live in remote Alaska and keep a bag in reserve at all times, but for us it doesn't usually last that long before we use it.
by mtgpa
5. it is a BAG, a double bag and if you smell rancidity from the fats you will know it has expired. Always transfer your dry items to cansiters or plastic storage jars with airtight lids. Keeps the bugs out and does not attract little mice to your cupboard. Those 5 qt icecream buckets are great for dry storage; rice, flour, pancake mix, beans, pasta.

6. Must use by 2016

7. I Seal It Up In A Large Zip Lock Freezer Bag, Keep It Down The Frig. Crisper Bin, Stays Just Like New Up To Four Months.

1. nope, not that I have seen.
by Baigs
2. this product is better suited to breads like banana bread, zuchinni breads, add cornmeal for cornbread. French bread needs YEAST and sour flavored salt for the back of the tongue tang. Go ahead and use yeast for your loaf and let us know how it came out.
by xfoodinspector
3. Well, I guess you could but it has baking soda in it, bread uses yeast. There are also other ingredients in it not suited for making bread. I would just get some all purpose flour, yeast, add water, salt and cross your fingers and make bread! That's what I do! Good luck.
by RockForever
4. No, you can't make french bread with this. It is good for pancakes, waffles, and biscuits.

1. Treat it just as you treat your flour. We store it in a cupboard.
by LovngSnow
2. I've kept mine in the same bag since last year December (around 8 months now) and it's still as fresh as the day I got it. I just tied a plastic bag around the original bag, but I guess if you're really concerned about freshness, you could just put it in one of those stay-fresh plastic containers (like what people store flour or rice in). Hope this helps!

3. place in an airtight container or canister and keep in the refridgerator if you seldom use it. Storage life will be much longer. But if you use the entire package within a couple months there is no need to refridgerate.
by xfoodinspector
4. I have used this product for years. It makes the most delicious thick, or thin, pancakes anywhere. I leave in the bag and one time had a bag for almost 2 years with no bugs or lack of flavor.
