All purpose means just that --our most versatile flour for any recipe that simply calls for "flour." Strong enough to take high-rising yeast breads to new heights. A blend of pure white hard and soft wheat so every bite looks and tastes its absolute best.

Gold Medal All-Purpose Flour 10.0 lb Bag. Gold Medal Confidence: It all began in 1866 when C.C. Great packaging
I love the package design and it makes it easy to measure out what is needed for your recipe, but it's not a full 5 lbs as you expect. It's only 4.25 lbs so you're getting less for you money. Otherwise a great new package idea!

flour is good but walmart shipping is awful
Only 2 packages were intact and saveable. All packages broke in shipping and covered all my other items I ordered. It was a HUGE disaster! This is the 2nd time I ordered flour and both times the bags busted. Both times there have been no packing material or bubble to protect my order during the shipping process. I am very disappointed and not ordering again

Gold Medal All Purpose Flour

The only flour for Baking...

The best for cookies, cakes, pies, etc.

I just love Gold Medal for all my baking needs. This is just the right size package for my pantry and the price was right, too. Thank you, WalMart!

It's Flour

Don't know how to review this. It's flour. I got it in the bag so it wouldn't get busted thru shipping. It makes bread, what I got it for. So, can't say anything bad about it. I've never done tests on flour. It does what it was meant for.

gold medal flour

To me it makes the best rolls and bread buy it every chance. with my age i can get out to the stores like i use to. Never had any problems with this flour.

Not as pictured

I bought this through "Click & Pull" which is fantastic. Not having to walk all over the store is WONDERFUL. I thought I would get two bags, as shown, but I got one 10 lb. bag instead, 5 lb. bags are easier to deal with for me. Just be aware you will NOT get two bags, you get one BIG one.

1. It is packaged in a paper bag, but mine wasn't damaged. I think it all depends on who boxes up your order. If you get someone who doesn't care, they are likely to rip your bag and be rough with it. Just hope you get someone that values their job.

2. It was packaged in paper but I had no problem I would buy this again when I do a lot of baking.

3. I don't know why my last answer did not post. Yes, this comes in a double paper bag just like any brand of flour I've ever purchased. Even the 50 lbs. sacks.

4. It is pack the same way as the 5 lbs. with paper eaxctly like the picture shown.

1. I've bought Gold Medal All purpose flour for over 40 years & no problems. Over the years I've made thousands of cookies, cakes, pies, used to dredge meat or chicken for frying also in gravies. It's my preferred brand as it was for my mother and grandmother.
by Momm1313
2. You can, but it's advised to heat it up first since it's raw flour.

1. Not the same. The bread making machine only works with self rising flour or bread flour.
by allIsee
2. Bread Flour is higher gluten than A.P. Flour. Only if you are very particular with your bread will this make a difference. I've been baking over 45 years. I make my own bread 2-3 times a week and have only ever used A.P. Flour. YES, it works perfectly in my bread machine, though I only use it to knead the dough as I have a very old machine that does not bake the loaf thoroughly. Plus, nothing beat the smell of baking bread. This measure the same as bread flour.
