VERY GOOD!
I ordered 5 cans of this product, love it! I just mixed it up just like tuna..WONDERFUL! But there is a down side, the cans need to be packaged better so they are not hitting each other and getting dented up...BETTER PACKAGING IN THE BOX PLEASE FOR CANNED GOODS!!!!

"Traditional" style means...nastiness
I love canned salmon and make salmon patties my whole family likes. This "traditional style" looked so gross with the bone pieces and skin all in there. I just wanted to toss it out. I googled it and traditional style is supposed to be including the icky junk you usually clean off the salmon. Who eats that? I don't care if it's supposedly healthier...this will not do it for me. Yuk! Besides if I have to clear all that junk out to find the parts I deem usable, the overall amount is smaller. I'll stick to NON "traditional" style salmon. Unfortunatly I got three cans of this stuff. I Need to find a friend who has a cat!

good eats

I hate to cook, so I just let in soak in wine vinegar for a couple of minutes and eat it with crackers, like my Dad did when I was growing up and Mom wasn't there to cook, which wasn't often. When I am craving fish, this is a quick healthy solution.

Good Salmon

I am diabetic and I need to eat more salmon to control my glucose. This is an excellent choice for salmon that is ready to eat.

When On Sale .. its better than tuna

Love this stuff. Expensive when not on sale, but onsale its like tuna prices but not mush like most canned tuna.

Good to have on hand

Use this product to make salmon patties for a quick lunch or dinner. Have salmon in the freezer but for the salmon patties this is quicker and tastes good.

1. I don't like it either and pick out the lose skin and as much of it that will come off. I didn't think it was a lot, maybe 5% including a few back bones.
by projectrunway
2. Yes it has skin and bone in it, but if someone else unpacked the can and mixed it up know one would know the difference. I know I told my family it didn't have skin or bone in it and they couldn't tell. I asked after we had dinner and they said they couldn't tell, and were surprised when i said it had bone and skin.

3. Yes, it has ample skin and bones. I don't like it either and pick it off.
by Mocitygranny
4. There is skin. I like the skin, so I cannot say if it is a lot or a little. I just don't pay that much attention to it. However, they do sell salmon packed without skin or bones in short cans. You might want to look for that.

5. From the ocean

6. Yes! It has skin AND bone in it. Not what I was expecting.

7. Yes, it had the bones and skin. I wasted about 1/4 can cleaning it.

1. Yes, it is from Alaska which is why I buy it.
by Mocitygranny
2. I take as writer if it says it is from a place I have to believe them

3. Chicken of the Sea says the catch is sometimes too large to process in their Alaska facility, so part of it may sometimes be frozen and shipped to Thailand for processing. It is Wild Caught Alaska Salmon, it's just not always fresh-packed. I always wondered why sometimes it's kind of mushy and other times not. I think the freezing and thawing affects the texture.
by ArlisT
4. The fish is caught in the North Pacific. I guess it is processed and packed in Thailand.
by Usmithbiz
5. Chances are the fish was caught in Alaska and sent to Thailand for canning.

1. Yes. Label: packed fresh in Alaska. Wild Caught, all natural. Ingredients: Pink Salmon, Salt. Just received this request for info. On 9/14/13.
by Mocitygranny
2. Yes
by Usmithbiz
3. I have the same question too. Although the label says "packed in Alaska", it didn't say it's wild-caught. I wonder if the salmon is farm-raised in Alaska that's why the "wild-caught" isn't in the label.
by CoriO
4. Yes, it is in waters of Alaska.
