For the modest price, it's a surprisingly good cabinet. The wood pieces are precision cut and drilled which resulteed in a square and true cabinet box. As anyone who has done this type of thing before would predict, this made assembly a pleasure. The precision extended to the pre-drilled door hinge screws. When initial assembly resulted in a larger between-the-doors gap at bottom than top, all I had to do was slightly loosen all the door screws and tug a bit, then re-tighten. The final result is quite satisfactory . Anyone familiar with IKEA furniture will find the assembly obvious,. However, the line drawings were also very good. and should sufficce even for a novice. The only tool needed is a phillips-head screwdriver. Alll the necessary hardware was supplied in a nicely orgainzed blister-pack card. Each blister section contained only one type of hardware as necessary for a particular purpose, I'd never seen hardware supplied like that before. I thought it a clever idea. Every type of hardware (screw, dowel, cam-lock etc. was the right count. -- but in addition, also included a small zip-lock bag with two extra of each hardware part. I've never seen that before either. Obviously, the manufacdturer. was thinking about how frustrating it would be to assemble the cabinet if there were missing/lost pieces.. It was a thoughtful touch I appreciated, even thoughI didn't need the extras. The cabinet is wall mounted via a robuist-enough mounting rail on the upper inslde of the cabinet box. The rail is also pre-drilled for the provided screws plastic hollow-wall anchors are provided. (I didn't use the supplied wall anchors, as I prefer a different style). The package also contains a nicely-sized wall template (strangely labeled as a "portrait") to level and then mark to pre-drill for the wall anchors. The wood finish is uniform and just the color I imagined from the pictures. The door panels are slightly lighter in color than the styles and rails, butd certainly nothing objectionable. I noticed one finish repair that just have been done at the factory. It's not perfect, but my eye is not drawn to iot. Unfortunately, one door was marrred by a rather long scratch on one door edge. I was surprised at this, as the protective packaging is quite good. (The box was particularly sturdy). My wife worked her magic with a Minwax furniture pencil in color "red oak/mahagony" and the scratch is now invisible (If you're not familiar with these, they're like crayons for woodworkers. They can cover up small flaws very well and are available in a variety of colors). One small warning, it's a good idea ot have a vacuum cleaner at the ready when you unpack. There is no small amount of styrofoam-like packaging, and it tends to shed many small pieces that can get everywhere if you're not careful. All in all, I recommend this cabinet. It's quality and appearance are much better than I expected for the price.
