Michelin Protek Max Tyre 700 x 47c Black (47-622)

This is the protek MAX with the 5mm belt, not the protek standard, I suspect there is confusion between the two because since switching to the Max a couple years ago I have had zero flats even in winter when the streets are full of glass. I find the belt effectively stops glass fragments and I have pulled fragments out of the tires with no loss of pressure. On the other hand I wish they were a bit more sticky as even with caliper brakes I can easily put the bike in a slide if streets are wet. Overall the puncture resistance and affordability win out for me.

These are the best tires I have ever used for riding my MTB on tar. They are superior to Continental Sport Contact which I always used to buy. The puncture protection is good - I have pulled thorns out of the tire with the tube still in tact. These tires are fast and the reflective strip is great for side visibility. Unfortunately they are not available in my country and importing from Germany is a hassle.
