The product assembles easily if you are used to putting things together it's not too bad. You can make a couple modifications to make it a little bit better but that's all up to you. I think the locking wheels should be in the front. There is a strong odor of whatever they used to stain it with, so I wish that would've been mentioned. I don't know if that is gonna be safe for the animals that will be living in it. Something to consider.

I don't want to sound negative, but some of the pre assembly was backwards, and i had to do some adjustments to the ramp going to the second level, it was to steep for my rabbit to get up, but the appearance of the cage made the room look a lot better then that old wire cage.

Im disappointed and only gave 4 stars because for me it was just like another small cage. I bought for my piggy, Jerome. Jerome is a loner guinea pig, by choice, so I got this thinking it would be spacious with 2 stories for him. I was so excited but he's terrified of the steep ramp. I know this is a rabbit hutch but there were other reviews with guinea pigs. I felt awful for him he refused to go up top for food and even switched and put his hideout up there. I've coaxed him up and down the ramp with treats and he's just terrified. It doesn't help the ramp is a big step up for even a rabbit to get on and off of. I closed off the top part and it's back to a small cage for Jerome for now. If your pig doesn't climb well or a lot I don't recommend this cage. It looks nice but now it's taking up wasted space. One part requires the second person to hold a board for assembly and I recommend a regular and not power screwdriver for assembly even though it suggests it. It's easier and no worries about boards splitting with a regular one. It's very well built, sturdy and the wheels are a plus. Oh and I added the lights in the picture. This might be a good choice for an adult rat since they tend to climb. Jerome used the ramp to hide behind on the underneath level when he couldn't get to his hideout. My cat does approve of the window and there's also one on the side. She can look but the screen is on good enough she can't touch. He's definitely not bothered by her at all either.
