used for candy thermometer

This worked wonderful for making caramels. It's long design snaps nicely on the side of pan and the digital display with preprogramming worked awesome! Easy to read, plus it beeps at you when you preset the program you want. Best candy thermometer ever! Love it.

Verified Purchase

I returned it because it was too long. I wanted to use it as a candy thermometer only. I think it is tall to accomodate deep fat frying which I won't be doing. I found a shorter one for candy only. If the measurements had been part of the description, I wouldn't have purchased it. It think it is a great idea but this long should only be used for frying. I'm sure it is a great product. I see that Williams Sonoma has the same one for more money.
