I have wanted to try a french press for a very long time. Now, I wouldn't go back to the standard coffee maker if you paid me. The price was VERY comfortable in case it didnt work out for me, but to my surprise, this far exceeded my expectations. Now it did take some time to "break in" coffee grounds sneaking by the plunger, but once it did, nothing was allowed through. I would say for the first few times you use this, affix some cheesecloth over your cup and you should be good to go. You'll notice less and less grounds getting past, and soon nothing. I would most definitely recommend this for price AND functionality!!
