Does the job well

I bought one of these to help cool down a 32x48 shop. It gets the air moving very well and makes a big difference on hot days. I did some research before purchasing this and I feel this is the best deal out there for a shop fan. I'm very happy with this fan

Nice fan, great price

I bought two of these fans for my shop. They provide pkenty of airflow to help keep our 42x64 shop a little cooler on these extremely hot days. They move a good amount of air throughout the entire shop.

Great price, does the job…mostly

Put one up in a 3400 sq ft workshop. I like that it is low draw and 110v; really makes wiring easy. The pigtails on the fan are plenty long for extension rods, too. The remote works perfectly from anywhere in the shop and the fan does move air. Mine is roughly 12 ft above the the floor and 5 ft below the roof. Initially it was just the 18” or so extension rod they provide but the fan did nothing, so I got a longer rod and dropped it down to allow air to get behind it and set up flow more easily, which definitely helped. I think the instructions suggest 8-10' above floor level but that's not practical for a workshop. Why four stars? Well, it has to be on the highest setting to feel any air movement at all. I mean AT ALL. Even standing directly under it you miiiiiight detect a draft on setting 4, but to feel anything away from the fan it has to be on 5 and even then it's just a gently wafting. That's not a terrible thing - these fans aren't supposed to blow the house down but to circulate air in a large area, and after it's been running a few days it does create a very gentle air flow in all parts of the shop, but that's VERY gentle. You won't be sitting under the fan to cool off. Perhaps I expected too much. Perhaps I'm not applying it correctly. Perhaps it's a matter of you get what you pay for. But I've stood under the name brand Big (Mule) fans higher than mine and they make wind. This one…not so much.
