Beyond basic - these cookies are amazing. I was doing my usual "gluten free" search when grocery shopping and saw this cookie mix, and I'm so glad I tried them. Now - I'm a bit of an airhead and I didn't realize that I would be browning the butter myself - but that's how you build the depth of flavor in these cookies. And that task may seem intimidating but it's not - just stay close to the oven, error on lower temps and your nose will tell you when to remove from the heat if you're not watching. There's also this maple scent that is not overpowering -- and the ingredients look pretty clean. I'm happy and would be glad to share these with coworkers, friends, family etc. I've just eaten two warm from the oven and I wanted to write this right away as I saw there weren't reviews yet. You do the brown butter, let that cool, then mix the batter -- it is dry looking but trust the recipe/instructions -- then you form the dough balls and let chill before baking. So I did the whole prep in between work/feeding myself etc and then baked during the afternoon coffee break. Excellent really. And yes I'm a real person. Also -- as I'm evolving my tastes are too of course- and these are as sweet as I would want. Definitely a treat. Walmart a lot of GF eaters are "higher vibe" and we don't need the mass produced amount of sugar/salt just FYI. Thank you for creating these products under your private label for Us. xoxo
