I'm going to buy another one I would not try to deceive you. I do not have a ceiling light in my kitchen it broke. To be honest it was cheaper to buy this until I could afford an electrician. I find it pricey but I also find it worth the money. it's very bright, dimmable, has a remote that you can attach to the stand if you're like me that doesn't want to be looking for it. I'm going to buy one for the bedroom because I can leave the remote control with me on the bed. the bedroom does not have a ceiling light and the lamps are not bright enough. this is my honest opinion. The base does have weight to it. it is not top heavy and is easy to clean. it's a disc shape lamp that you can rotate to other areas. on a regular basis living at face the ceiling prevents Shadows. if you do buy it I hope you like it. I wouldn't give it a five-star because I don't know how long it'll last or anything else. So far so good. There are some similar items like this out there but they're smaller. My niece have a lamp she bought somewhere and she likes it. Personally I think she would do better with the one I have because it's tall and thin it does not take up a lot of room
