Excellent torchiere style lamp

This appears to be a well constructed %26 performing classic torchiere style floor lamp. It ticked all the ‘required' boxes for me….sturdy %26 rigid metal tube - post construction that does not bend or sway…..glass material shade (not flimsy plastic or vinyl)….versatile brushed nickel type finish %26 provides a good range of 3 - level light brightness using a twist - type top located switch (30; 70 %26 100 watt equivalent). Very easy %26 minimal assembly. As it requires a (easily available) 3-way light bulb, my understanding is a dimmer switch cannot be used with this lamp. Even with a slightly higher price than I expected to pay, I'd highly recommend this for your office, living space or bedroom use……in fact, I just may get another one!

Highly satisfied

I'm so in love with the simple, classic design of this lamp and its sturdy, high-quality construction. It elevates the appearance of my whole efficiency apartment and makes me happy every time I look at it. I bought a 150 watt maximum, 3-way light bulb for it and find that even at its lowest setting, the lamp seems extremely bright, so I may wish to change to a lower wattage 3-way bulb at some point, or perhaps switch back and forth between stronger and weaker bulbs as needed. On the bright side (lol), if I ever want extremely strong light to illumine my whole living space, I know it's at my command. FYI, the 3-way switch works fine with the lamp plugged into a switch-controlled socket. Assembly was intuitive, quick, and easy.

excellent lamp

Bought this torchiere floor lamp for my dark home office. Now it is a joy to work there as the lamp provides excellent light without blinding me and looks terrific! Highly recommend it. Mary Elisabeth
