I Absolutely love this little grill. Its perfect for my balcony where my husband and I can just throw something on the grill really fast instead of going to our backyard and using our huge grill we use when family is over. The only thing I would change is the outside hardware, I wish it could be a little sturdier and not bend so easily when you touch it. Other than that, its GREAT!

I needed a small grill that did not take a bunch of space in an apartment setting. I looked at quite a few of the weber offerings, as well as the other brands, and they were either too big, too flimsy, or just TOO Expensive. Then this beauty came along. AND IT HAS A SECOND SHELF, for under $25, you can't beat that. And I have had other portable grills, but out off all brands and price range this one had the most even heating. Want to make like a big boy's grill. Splurge on the $5 bag of lava rocks. Plus it came in Blue!

You get what you pay for. This is a good value, not the greatest grill in the world, but for the price you can't beat it. I grilled chicken on it last night and it worked great. A little bit of assembly required but nothing too difficult. If you're looking for something to entertain and cook 10 burgers or multiple things at once this isn't for you. It's great for camping, travel, or just for use at home for 1 or 2 people.

Recently bought this grill for my boyfriend who has always wanted a grill of his own. As a college student, he doesn't have a lot of space but always wanted to grill on sunny evenings and tailgates. This grill has gone above and beyond! Pros: Compact, fairly light, sturdy legs that fold in for storage, easy to use, only takes 15 minutes to start cooking the very first time (to burn off production chemicals). Cons: Took forever for me to assemble! Now- I am definitely not the most skilled at building things, but I am going to be honest, it took me about an hour to put together! I wanted him to be able to use once he had opened the present up so I put it all together before hand. Boy, was I happy I did! Even with the directions not being super easy for me to follow, I was able to get it together and quickly saw what a beautiful, high quality grill this was. Just cooked steaks on it last week and loved it! My dad has already bought one of his own. What a great value!

    • A. The Walmart website information says you can use a larger tank with an extension hose.

    • A. Our experience has been that the little tanks last about 2 hours on full volume. More, of course, if turned down. The tanks are liquid propane and I have found them at any store that sells camping supplies. The instructions do not specify what size tank you must use, but the regulator only hooks into the one pound size and it does say you should only use that regulator. It does say not to use a household gas source. The instructions say "NEVER use lava rock."

    • A. I use the camping portable propane tanks found in camping/sporting goods, and we grill out 4-5 times per week, and we use 1 portable tank per week (estimated). It does use the portable camping tanks, and it uses Propane. I am unsure about the use of the bigger tanks, but I would imagine that with the propane tank adapter (also sold at Walmart), that is should accept a larger Propane tank.

    • A. Our tank last for about 6 meals for 2 people, or about 3-4 hours of cook time. My grill uses Propane, Don't know about lava rock, or about hook it up to a bigger tank. You can p/u the small tank on sale for like 2/$7.00.

    • A. We use the small propane tanks they sell at walmart for $2. They lasted us for about 3 BBQ's we did and we had steak, burgers, chicken, hotdogs and plantains, so its a good value tank.

    • A. How long the 1lb tanks last depends on how high you set the grill. Always suggest having an extra one on hand. The grill burns liquid propane. You can hook it up to a larger (20lb) tank. You will have to purchase an extension hose to do so. Extension hoses can be found at WalMart and most other retailers that carry grills. Do not use lava rocks with this grill.

    • A. You will need some sort of lighter to start it with such as the long butane lighters or long matches, as it doesn't have an automatic starter.

    • A. I had bought "lava rock" along with the grill to help evenly disperse the heat, but the grill actually has several pieces which disperse the heat evenly built in, so I have since returned that! All you need is some propane to get the grill up and running! This grill is great for various types of cooking, vegetarian included. There is a heat gauge on the propane to help control the temperature you like too cook at, making it suitable for meat and vegetarian substitutes.

    • A. The only things I can think of are matches and some kind of soup can to catch the grease. It does not have an automatic starter. It has a nice heat deflector which eliminates the need for lava rock.

    • A. You would need nothing more than the camping propane, found in the camping/sporting goods department, and a lighter/matches. It has a push button ignite system. I have cooked a few ka-bobs on the grill, it cooked the veggies pretty well.

    • A. Our grill used natural gas, but just like the LP there is a push button starter. You would need nothing else. The starter uses a AA battery which is supplied. This should probably be replaced every couple of months.
